Left on a downhill

Sun is shining – beautiful day for a ride.

Two really hard climbs with me getting off the bike. The last climb had a gradient of 8.9 percent over 1.9 km with the last km climbing 150 meters. Straight up on gravel. I was not doing that – got off the bike. Yelling at Peter to go to the hotel. He didn’t. So steep that there are two escalators to get to the top! Never so happy to see an escalator. Even more important a cafe at the top where I was definitely stopping for a lemon soda!

Peter bypassed nice cafe to get the extra 100 meters to complete the climb.

Hotel was nice – best breakfast so far.

Perugia is very nice. Old car race through the town which was nice to see.

Didn’t sleep well – lots of noise and too hot in the room.

Peter still continues to be slow leaving the hotel – has to reopen his bag to find his credit card
