Finally leaving on the flats without a climb.

Beautiful morning – felt good on the bike. Tired around 40 km mark

Transport trucks on the road but they leave a lot of room to go around us!

Last climb of the day was a killer – not ready for the steep gradient – over 15 percent- with bike packing gear afraid I would fall over lol

Nice coming in through the park into Florence. Chaotic coming in through center core – lots of construction. Hard to find hotel – hidden behind scaffolding.

Mom and daughter made me cry and think of my mom. I really feel my mom’s spirit as I ride my bike!

We had a nice dinner at a local restaurant and chatted with an elderly couple from Colorado who had done bike packing.

Most English speaking people seen so far on our trip. Lots of Americans in the breakfast room.

Calling for rain on our trip to sienna! I’m ready for it!
